This is not 'Maria'.Just Fatimah Abu Bakar and Rahim Razali in a drama titled 'Kuterpijak Kulit Pisang Lalu Jatuh Tergolek Gitu'
Remember in 1985, TV3 first television drama called 'Maria'? The one with Mustafa Noor (arwah dah Pakcik Hensem ni) and Fatimah Abu Bakar ?
Personally, I'm a big Malay drama fan.Especially the one that produced before the mengarut-ngarut 'Drama Swasta'.All those RTM Drama Minggu Ini every Sunday tu.Minat sungguh. So many that are too good to remember. What we all do every sunday night, all of us (my brother,2 little sisters and 'Kakak' hmm..we called our pembantu rumah this) will baring-baring depan TV and tengok the drama. We will never miss it unless LLN (what TNB formerly known as) pakat nak buat electric cut tergempar.Kalau api/karen takde, kami siap menyumpah-nyumpah.My brother (bless him) boleh telefon orang LLN and told them 'Hello Pakcik, kenapa rumah saya takde api?'.Ni lah penangan Drama Minggu Ini.
Looking back, where are all the good drama maker now? Are they in hiding? Can't they not see how appaling the quality the now melayu drama is?
I was very selective if I want to watch 'Cerekarama'.Kalau takde Aida Rahim or any actor yang bagus-bagus,Cerekarama or Celakarama tu,tak tengok pun takpe.Kadang-kadang tu,ada drama yang sahih-sahih mengarut nak mampos, tah macam mana terlepas masuk TV pon tatau.Misti ada unsur-unsur rasuah dalaman tu.
The 'Mawi-Ina' program really disturbed me.Not that I watched it but why it was made whatever the motive was,is still a substantial waste of energy. If it has done them any good then, congratulation lah.
The frustration came when I suddenly start thinking about the younger generation, especially my anak-anak buah. How can I expect them to be educated by those kind of entertainment? Takde moral cerita langsung.
I learned a lot from watching 'Maria'.I was probably 11 years old but all their dialogues, scenes are still vividly emblazoned in my kepala hotak. It's about a man who married his sweetheart, have a kid and only to realised that he is not ready to be committed. All that issues and how his strong minded wife brought them all together and most importantly, made the husband see sense. How communication, passion, understanding is important in marriage life.Sungguh educational.
I would like to appeal to Dato' Rais Yatim, daripada dia dok mengondem Pussycat Dolls or Sharifah Amani, bukankah dia lebih baik meng channel good energy nya kepada penghasilan drama-drama melayu or program-program TV yang ber quality?
Dato' Rais was questioning Sharifah Amani's integrity as a malay. What about him? His children is unmalay named and before he become the Kebudayaan Minister, he is high colonialisation himself.
Tapi, orang Malaysia suka pulak tengok drama-drama karut tu.Termasuk lah my mother.Hehehe.
